Will Roscoe, Senior Grants Manager, has been active in social justice issues since 1975 when he helped found the first LGBT organization in Montana. After settling in San Francisco in 1978 he was inspired by Harvey Milk and coordinated voter registration for the “No on 6” campaign (also known as the Briggs Initiative). Following a career as a writer and teacher in LGBT history, Native American studies and anthropology, he has worked at nonprofit organizations involved in community organizing, education reform and affordable housing and social services for LGBT seniors.
Education
Will received his B.S. in Community Service and Public Affairs from the University of Oregon and completed graduate work in the History of Consciousness program at University of California, Santa Cruz.
