April 22, 2020 – Melanie Curry of StreetsBlog SF reports on the meeting of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission which today failed to set aside funds for worker and rider protections from the $1.3 billion that Bay Area transit agencies will receive as part of the $2 trillion federal pandemic relief bill. Advocates urged the commission to help provide COVID-19 protective equipment and sanitation for transit workers and the essential workers who rely on transit right now.
