Public Advocates is proud to be a part of Californians for College Affordability, a broad coalition of student, civil rights, business, workforce, and college access organizations pushing for meaningful access to postsecondary education. The Coalition released a new analysis of how Cal Grants could better serve low-income college students in California. California’s Cal Grants provide $2 billion in need-based financial aid to California’s college students. Most Cal Grant recipients come from low to moderate income backgrounds, and attend all types of institutions in the state.
