This is a letter to legislative leadership and members from 60 organizations representing diverse communities throughout California urging them to reject a budget trailer bill that would give developers in California the power to force approval of projects “by right” without public or environmental review. This proposal, say the authors of the letter, represents a huge giveaway to the real estate industry at the particular expense of low-income residents and communities of color across California.
