On March 23rd, twenty-one members of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) Equity Coalition sent a letter to the CA Department of Education outlining their recommendations on how requirements for Local Educational Agencies throughout the state could be amended under LCFF in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The letter was addressed to Jeff Breshears of the CDE’s Local Agency Systems Support Office, encouraging the state to prioritize support for high-need students, which includes low-income, English language learners and foster youth.
