Luis A. Rodriguez is in private practice as an attorney and consultant working on legal and public policy issues within the areas of affordable housing, economic development, tax exempt organizations, and policy measures focused on racial equity, inclusion and economic justice.
Recently, Mr. Rodriguez worked at the Treasury Department within the Biden Administration. As a Senior Policy Analyst, Luis assisted in the design, implementation and the awards process for several of Treasury’s Covid economic recovery programs, which focused on assisting low income communities severely impacted by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Luis was also a former partner at the law firm of Goldfarb and Lipman LLP and provided legal counsel to public agencies, for-profit developers and nonprofit tax exempt organizations. He assisted his clients in their development of affordable housing projects, commercial buildings and nonprofit owned community facilities.
Luis taught courses in the area of Community Economic Development both at Berkeley Law and UC Law SF. He has also volunteered and served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations. Luis received his J.D. from the UCLA School of Law, his M.A. from the University of Chicago and his B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Luis is a current member of the Finance Committee of Public Advocates and is honored to serve on the Board of Public Advocates.
