October 2, 2019 – Kyle Stokes reports in LAist that although the LA Unified School District says it fixed its spending plan for high-need students, advocates say it got worse. The L.A. School Board voted to accept the plan, but many board members were reluctant to do so after hearing testimony from parents and advocates, including that of Nicole Gon Ochi, of Public Advocates.
