April 4, 2017 – John Fensterwald of EdSource reports on the complaint that Public Advocates has filed against the Long Beach Unified School District. Senior staff attorney Angelica Jongco is quoted in the story saying, “Over the past two years, the district has received multiple letters warning that it is not meeting its obligations to equitably serve high-needs students. Unfortunately, the district has not meaningfully responded.”
