Will Roscoe (he/him/his), Senior Grants Manager, has been active in social justice issues since 1975 when he helped found the first LGBTQ organization in Montana. After settling in San Francisco in 1978 he was inspired by Harvey Milk and coordinated voter registration for the “No on 6” campaign (also known as the Briggs Initiative). Following a career as a writer and teacher in LGBTQ history, Native American studies, and anthropology, he has worked at nonprofit organizations involved in community organizing, education reform, and affordable housing and social services for LGBTQ seniors. He is the author and host of the podcast “Give ‘Em Hell, Harry: The Man Who Kep Harry Milk’s Dream Alive.”
Education
Will received his B.S. in Community Service and Public Affairs from the University of Oregon and a Ph.D. in History of Consciousness at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
