The “Call for Projects” is the process by which MTC decides how $60 billion in “discretionary revenues” over 25 years will be assigned in its regional transportation plan, due for adoption in 2017.
In its response to MTC’s Call for Projects, the 6 Wins Network proposes that MTC create an Underserved Community Benefits Program funded with $2 billion during the first four years of the new Plan. Low-income communities of color across the Bay Area would decide how their share of this funding would be spent in their communities to meet their priority needs.
