April 26, 2022 –  Andrés Ramos is quoted in a report by Karma Dickerson and Jose Fabian on a call by affordable housing advocates for California’s projected $50B budget surplus to be used to address people’s housing needs. “We have a fighting chance to stop speculators and to stop corporate landlords from buying up the housing that we need,” said Andrés Ramos, of  Public Advocates.  The Housing Now coalition gathered at the State Capitol steps to call for nearly $1 billion for affordable housing and homeowner protections.
