Jed specializes in affordable housing, real estate, HUD regulatory, and nonprofit law. Jed has experience representing developers in transactions utilizing various HUD programs and the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) Program. Jed regularly provides advice on regulatory issues relating to HUD’s Section 8 project-based rental assistance (PBRA), project-based voucher (PBV), and housing choice voucher (HCV) programs. Prior to, and concurrently while, attending law school Jed spent five years as both a Health Volunteer and Headquarters staff member with the United States Peace Corps in Washington D.C. and Morocco.
Education: Graduated from Humboldt State University in 2007 with a B.A. in Political Science, where he received the Outstanding Student Award for Excellence in an Academic Discipline. Received a J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law, in 2016, magna cum laude, Order of the Coif, and served as Senior Articles Editor of the American University Journal of Gender, Social Policy and the Law. Member of the State Bar of California, the District of Columbia Bar, and the American Bar Association Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development.
