Public Advocates only represents individual clients in cases that have broad policy implications in one of our areas of expertise. We represent class members and organizations from low-income communities of color, and immigrants who suffer from systemic discriminatory policies in accessing services to education, affordable housing, public transportation, and some related areas.
In most cases, we can only provide individuals who contact us about their cases with referrals to legal services groups, such as:
- Bay Area Legal Aid
- BASF Volunteer Legal Services Program
- Equal Rights Advocates
- Legal Services Organizations in 50 States
- Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights
If your case is representative of a broader discriminatory policy affecting low-income people of color or immigrants in the denial of basic education, housing, and transportation services, please use our contact form and describe the general nature of the issue and its systemic impact.
Please keep in mind that, unless we sign a written retainer agreement with you, we are not agreeing to represent you in your case.
